for our fifth release we invited four of our favorite producers to take turns in remixing ken karter’s latest ep on our label. stanislav tolkachev, inland, alfredo mazzilli and array access all managed to apply their own characteristic sound, resulting in a remix ep that could not be more versatile.

thoughts towards change, evolution, learning from mistakes. take advantage of the time that we have ahead of us as an opportunity for development, to be who we want to be and not necessarily who we were yesterday. having absolute control over our subconscious and unconscious mind will allow us to achieve success.

elektroliza is a series of club events formed by a group of dedicated electronic music enthusiasts in 2006. it is hosted by ljubljana s channel zero, a legendary club that is part of the autonomous social centre metelkova which used to be the slovenian headquarters of the yugoslav national army.

filling a void in slovenia s electronic dance scene, the night was a hit from the start and quickly grew into a diverse and successful series focusing on new and exciting electro, acid and dark techno.

elektroliza hosted many memorable dj and live acts by performers/producers/pioneers coming out of international music incubators in gothenburg, the hague, berlin and as far as detroit. even more importantly, it brought together producers and crews from the former yugoslav republics of slovenia, croatia, serbia and macedonia. inside the former yugoslavian military barracks djs and producers from skopje to ljubljana began bonding again through music, forming new friendships, starting new collaborations and dancing the night away... in -electro city ljubljana-.

this first double vinyl compilation of the balkan elektroliza family is a collection of our shared memories and visions of the future to come.

hiele martens is the duo of roman hiele and lieven martens moana. lips is a musical story about a lord of castle daydreaming about his favorite fetish and other things. it has compositions created in the worm studio (rotterdam, netherlands) on the putney, arp 2500, serge et al combined with our own midi, voice and other techniques. in eight short songs, we sing the lords favors, whishes and fears.

for its third release, here to hell welcomes melbourne (via adelaide) veteran, rambl, and his incredible groover “doss”. this third release on the label happened purely by surprise, and what a discovery! the track itself is no accident, but the signing took place after a chance encounter. richard campbell aka rambl, who is one of melbourne’s best and most consistent djs since the last two decades, had developed a small cult following of viewers via facebook, where he had been providing live video coverage of australia’s wild weather in a kind of comedy-weatherman format. once these updates caught our attention, the magical facebook algorithm placed all of his content at the top of our feed.

finally realized, here s one that was long on the dkr wish list. among the very finest moments from both artists, these brilliant interpolations of curtis classics have been unavailable too long. a mesmerizing rhythm adorned with the lovely sounds of hand drums, melodica and flute, mixed and dubbed to perfection by king tubby himself. this 12inch is a 6 track ep, with all four cuts as originally released on two separate 45s, plus two unreleased mixes straight off the original tapes. we like to think tubbs favored these cuts, as so many mixes were done! the dub titled super cool is, in our humble opinion, one of tubby s top 10 extant mixes. full disclosure, all tracks except super cool pt. 2 come from the original jamaican mastertapes. we suspect the pt. 2 mix was lost somewhere in nyc, but don t let that trouble you, this one should please all who have ears.

after breaking out of our holding facility in early 2017, we tracked the humanoid alien lifeform known as darling to a deep bunker in amsterdam. while we were unable to gain entry tio the inner chamber, an operative successfully placed an eavesdropping device close by. while monitoring the lifeform s movements, we were able to record eight musical compositions of varying lengths that it had created using a range of analogue and digital electronic instruments. we have called this collection tulipa moves. you will notice that the tracks utilise a variety of rhythmic patterns, explore unearthly but attractiuve sounds and are capable of stirring strong emotions in human listeners. we direct your attention towards the lilting, softly spun melancholia of composition 03 (codename so did we) the fluid, beat-free bliss of composition 05 (codename the m song), and the up-tempo positivity of composition 07 (codename kiss the glass), whose chiming, intertwined melodies and snappy rhythmic energy reminded us of so-called intelligent dance music. we were astonished by the quality and intricacy of these alien creations and those we have not described in detail. it strengthens our belief that darling is a lifeform with higher intelligence and otherworldly musical ability

in ancient lddlm times, blddlm even, belgium could well have been the freaky house and ecstasy center of the world. if only we could remember all the lost hours. but after all, as the brussel saying goes: its friday, tomorrow is tuesday. at lddlm, we try not to reminisce, that was just setting the mood.we are very happy to welcome arthur johnson in our non-fold, a young producer from liege via marseille and la dame noir. aj is amongst those ever mutating artists, his u-turns slowly composing a real personality, and one fitting our contrarian attitude. in a way perfect stranger reminds us of a good 90’s farley/heller remix, not so much camp fire island than almost sweaty late night trancer. we love those tracks that do not fit our ethos a priori but that we can’t stop playing. cosmo vitelli is a long time family friend and he beams up this stranger through the axis into some kind of romantic italo-german anthem. ballada and secretary discordia show a different side of aj, a dub march echoing dif juz and a percussive machine funk number. we sincerely hope aj keeps on straying for the best, his way being our way.

pharoah sanders is spiritual jazz, is devotional music, is the greatest living link between john coltrane, kamasi washington, and the next generation of this great lineage. his tenor sound, his singing voice, his compositions, and his recordings have already stood the test of time, in his time, endured, ever-aged so finely, and have now (in my opinion) surpassed critique. pharoah sanders is a giant, an innovator, colorful, prayerful, and worthy of all our attention, celebration, and enthusiastic, even ecstatic accolades!

for its tenth anniversary, killekill decided it is worth to resurrect the main label and bring it back in full effect with another compilation of tracks by our beloved family members, favorite artists and bestest friends. cat. number 020 was never released, and we thought, this celebratory occasion was perfect to fill that gap, so everything is cleared, and we can step into the next decade. we start off with a track by mmm, the legendary duo consisting of fiedel and errorsmith, known for pushing the boundaries with every of their very rare releases. this one is an extremely simple, but effective weapon to destroy all dancefloors with its slightly loutish appeal. neil landstrumm got together with brian rays and produced a bleeper hit with catchy vocals. we don t know who the lyrics refer to, but they definitely express a punky fuck-off attitude, which we are missing a lot nowadays.

there’s a reason why so many of house music’s early releases have endured over the decades. the best of them have a quality that defies logic. early house records like heard s own -washing machine,- or the -no way back- by adonis, still have the power to stun listeners and drive clubs wild. they sound alien and beautiful, simultaneously ingrained within us and so unlike everything that followed. and few sound as beautiful, or as alien, as -can you feel it.- by 1986, heard—who was born and bred in chicago and been playing in bands as a drummer—had already proved to the world that he was a master of poignant, enthralling house. the previous year’s elegant “mystery of love,” originally released on alleviated records, had featured an insistent ascending bassline repeating under a plaintive, swooning analog synth, with a gentle, conga-led rhythm setting the pace. it was soon rerecorded in a slightly more fleshed-out style, this time featuring frequent collaborator robert owens on vocals—”there’s a moment in our lives when we all must try the mystery of love”—and rereleased on d.j. international.

the ep -a form of travel unknown to humans- is chasing us. guiding and forcing a way simultaneously. the sound is harsh but has an immaculate precision to it –void of air- compelling the listener toward a light, seducing us to tear through the night. we enter with „s.m.o.d. – sticks- a deep and magnetic sound opening up slowly, starting to breathe and to merge into -s.m.o.d. – cell culture- which gives a much more metallic flavour but never the less beat driven – fast and strident- maybe even hasty, pushing to skip a beat of the heart. to finish off with -s.m.o.d – pulse- carrying an unsettling almost disturbing quality, formulating a mechanical sound alienated from the human experience. the ep creates a seductive space outside our comfort zone, inviting to explore a space and travel unknown to humans. gimme more.

klas henrik lindblad better known as sasse or freestyle man has been a friend of our label for many years and also released together with dorian for our raum musik compilation in 2005. soul sounds without any doubt still is one of his absolute masterpieces and he was never willing to do anything with it and just let it rest in peace until the idea came up to re release it for our label. usually we are not licensing or re releasing anything but sasse and especially this track of him definitely deserve it. as it is also our 20 years anniversary we got one of our key artists on board that has been playing the track again a lot recently and that also immediately liked the idea of remixing this track and this is the result now. we are happy to present you the original track of sasse plus two remixes by our dear friend ricardo villalobos and label head dorian paic together. enjoy !

los angeles producer sweatson klank builds his productions as if they were films, developing a story from start to finish. stylistically, fine lines his debut full length for friends of friends, picks up where his 2017 then i was me’ ep left off, melding forward thinking hip hop and electronics as a back drop for a soulful and sultry journey through a tumultuous love affair, loss of self, and the dark empty spaces in our minds. the songs on fine lines sit in a space occupied by hip hop, future r&b and house, yet the record cleverly transcends any single genre. while much of the production is hard hitting, the album manages to walk a tightrope between heartache and swagger. a meticulous fine line that weaves itself like a thread throughout. sweatson klank enlists a number of features on the album including newcomers ana calvo, sarah saldivia, and annie bass as well as past collaborator, montreal producer ango.

ynks third ep for tenderpark sends us straight to dub house heaven with the lush and chord driven deepness of paradigms lost. just as dreamy as its thrilling, the track perfectly illustrates ynks highly musical approach to house which he further underlines with colorit on the flip side: this fresh and funky piece of music is overflowing with philly soul rhodes pianos and vocals. so philly lover no. 1 drei farben house obviously just had to contribute a remix in which he carves out the classic harmonies of the original and adds an ultra funky disco groove. also,with this release our third artwork series draws to a close

following up from last years ep on pleasure unit the folks from miskotom deliver a lovely 5 tracker for our other imprint pleasure wave following on from g marie and jonny .,the guys(guy and girl) carry on in much the same vein but drop gears ever so slightly for some more sun drenched tropical sounds. the opener hyena s laugh could be wally and larry jamming with the locals on kong island. senoi takes you on the back of a pick up truck and transports you from the coastal town and out onto the dusty tracks and into the night for a ride through the jungle and onto the other side. 10th day is all about cocktails by the infinity pool in the secret resort and soaking up that late afternoon sun. kuai can che is all twilight era maze tougher drums and chimes with those floaty synths. seeing us out is final cut kopiek lying back on the boat as you leave the island and it all becomes a tiny dot on the horizon...float on.. file under tropical, balearic, beach sounds.

new to the all day i dream team is newman. his name literal. this new york based artist is at the beginning of what we believe will be a long career both through his emotive productions and compelling beautiful dj sets. the release itself sits at the more dance floor oriented end of the label. both breath of the souls and the long journey have been truly tried and tested at this point. solid grooves, wailing middle eastern emotive lady voices and strings. for our events, these are the peak time anthems. the ep also features when the leaves fall, closing out the release in blissful style, and a warm welcome for newman to our all day i dream family.

in our most private moments, we have often thought of multi culti as an educational enterprise: as you listen to our music and stare at our artwork, you are absorbing information in a way that might conceivably be defined as -learning.- our latest release brings this theoretically reasonable fantasy one step closer to fruition, as we welcome hamburg-based musician and composer andi otto (ph.d) to our roster of artists. a deep listening experience focused on repetition and timbre, bow wave was made using rare and unique instruments such as a special sensor bow for cello (and other string instruments) known as the -fello,- which otto developed during his residencies at the steim research centre in amsterdam. the album also features vocals from award-winning indian playback singer, actor, and tv anchor m.d. pallavi, a frequent otto collaborator, recorded while the two were touring japan. the digital edition of bow wave includes 10 tracks, while the six-track vinyl adds remixes by ecuadorian folklorica wizard nicola cruz and parisian adult disco purveyor golden bug, both of which will be released separately in a digital remix pack alongside reworks from brazil s ricardo vincenzo and norway s center of the universe. you are free to purchase all of them.

after a lot of questions from fans when we were going to drop enzyme 060, it is finally here. we thought it was time to celebrate one of our most memorable releases with some new influences, but not forgetting about the original one. as it’s been well over a decade since its initial release and the overwhelming impact it has had on many of our loyal fans. it was time to do something special. we present you the (very!) limited picture disc edition of ophidian & ruffneck’s “so many sacrifices”, including two remixes by rapture and neox. the original track has been carefully remastered to fit today’s standards, so you can play it loud again in your sets.

left hand path is proud to present its fourth release - ice pick, a beautifully aggressive four track techno ep from bay area troublemaker michael claus. following acclaimed releases on jacktone and 100% silk and his unforgettable remix on our last record by nackt, ice pick plays with (and against) modern movements in underground techno to satisfying effect. while michael s previous releases featured a gorgeous dub-infused atmosphere, ice pick steps towards a more militant sound. its eponymous title track is described perfectly by its name - a lethal rhythmically compelling club track primed for the peak of a late-night dj set. for each has the listener ascending an endless staircase of arpeggios, chased by raw electro beats. hexes is introspective, reinforcing michael’s talent for writing sublime melodic hooks. the record’s closer acid 46 is a bonafide dance floor stomper built around an undulating, coruscating acid riff, giving it a kaleidoscopic bay area twist.

180gr black vinyl, full colour sleeve. our journey continues with an ep of pure ageless music for the dancing brain, four tracks dusted from the archives of this mysterious artist. real name alastair johnson released only few eps and one album in the mid/late 90s and then almost disappeared, we are more than happy to have the opportunity to highlight this material. the other big great satisfaction is also to be able to involve the historical warp-affiliated duo b12 for a really deep and spacey interpretation. have a good trip!

there was only ever going to be one choice to launch first floor. not only is dubbyman the cover star of our debut publication of the same name, but he s also the face and sound of influential spanish label deep explorer, in-demand producer/remixer and long-time favourite with us. so the opportunity to collaborate on a special edition 7- vinyl release was one we couldn t miss. so far, featuring south african vocalist and musician ras vadah from the therapy collektive, is an extended version of the laidback, jazzy opening teaser from dubbyman s debut album deep is dead. deep explorer stalwart leo gunn, on remix duties for the first time, takes the same track and gives it a piano-driven, dance-floor focused spin. the accompanying fanzine not only includes interviews with both dubbyman and gunn, but also features articles on johannes albert, tommo & jonno, jesus gonsev, arnheim, sensible soccers and more.

released in the mid 1980’s the movie telling the story of a murder series which really happened during that time in florence. a psycho killer was hunting down woman and the police had no idea at all who’s the person behind the cruel crimes. the whole case also delivered the idea for hanibal lecter and the silence of the lambs movie from 1991. detto mariano produced this wonderful completely unreleased score on the hight of his success when he was also producing stars as for example adriano celentano.
